Arrived today. Opened them up. They are much more trendily faded on the thighs than I was expecting but hey ho! I tried them on. Reasonable fit for fat arse bloke with smaller waist than would be in proportion!  Came with fitted knee and hip armour. Plenty of Kevlar from knee to waist. Only lower leg plain denim. One early remark, they are a little lower on the hips than I like on the bike. I feel safer with my two inch leather belt keeping trousers higher up. See how they go on the bike ...

ARMR Kyoto KEVLAR® Lined Black Straight Leg Riding Jeans. I seem to have become a bit of an ARMR groupie. From waterproof overtrousers to boots and now KEVLAR® lined jeans. I wanted a lighter "summer" pair as my existing pair of KEVLAR® cargo pants are beginning to look very tatty and the Oggie 76 with their button fly are way too big.. Yes. I've only shed a tad under 2 stones (28lbs) but they are way too big. So much so I can pull them down without undoing them! Dangerous in a tumble and slide. I have a pair of Hood Jeans . These are far thicker and heavy duty and I bought them about a year ago. I wore them a few times last year and they need "wearing in". So when the Fat Skeleton shop's email arrived announcing their reductions I bought a pair. Still with 44" waist though. Why? Wow. Doesn't time fly.  I bought this item a few years ago and with one thing and another I have worn it twice -  https://invictamoto.blogspot.com/2016/06/new-jacket.html I bought it to wear on summer days when a thicker jacket might be too hot to wear. Except on both occasions it was too hot itself.  The material is quite thick and the kevlar does seem to retain the heat. It wasn't all that expensive as it was in the 50% off sale at Bikers Gear Australia.  It was the second item I bought off them and it looks with my latest purchase, that the importer has changed to Luton from south Wales - that's Old South Wales not the new fangled one they have Down Under. The gear is decent stuff and won't break the bank. Following an accident many years ago on the GT750 when Claire and I were chuffed up the back by another biker and I was hospitalised after crunching my head on the pavement, it was my legs that came off worse.  My ordinary jeans had not been very tarmac resistant and the scuffing and bruising was pretty bad.   I decided to get some more "biker" jeans and bought a pair of Hood jeans. These are thick denim with an aramid Kevlar lining.  Overall the jeans have done good service. Only once being called into action when I managed to almost write off the Europ' Touring  BMW K1200S when I fell off on a diesel spillage near Etaples in France.   There was only a slight scuffing to one seam, but they did suck up the diesel like a sponge.  By the time I was back at the shop and back on my own GS it was too late for any detergent to remove the stain. If I was a  Harley owner I'd no doubt have to have a hoodie with the logo emblazoned somewhere on it. But I wanted something understated and then I saw a guy at the Dover show that had a Kevlar hoodie that he wore instead of a jacket on warm days -  he wore it with a Harley "HOG" leather cutoff as well. I don't think I am that butch! I had a look and found Bikers Gear Australia  selling then at about half price. I bought one. Kevlar Hoodie It should arrive in a few days and I can see about wearing it on my next couple of trips with a waterproof jacket to go over the top in case it rains!

I have a pair of Hood Jeans that I like but wanted something a little lighter, especially for the summer. I saw these on eBay and although a lot cheaper than Hood and Draggin' they seem tough enough. They are cargo style with two big patch pockets on each thigh and two back pockets, all covered with velcro flaps. The side and back pockets are are a little small, but suffice as the cargo patch pockets are large enough for a wallet in one side and other stuff in the other.  The Kevlar lining is around the privates and butt and down the thighs as far as the knee.   They come with CE approved knee pads that fit in pockets with a Velcro top to hold them in. I've worn them a few times and they are a good tight fit and very comfortable. I bought 42W but as a fat bloke they are a little tight.  Maybe 44W would have been better!
