The championships started tonight in Munich with the host nation, Germany, playing Scotland. There's always the question on whether England fans (therefore English) would support Scotland tonight. One of the online betting companies found in a poll that 61% of English would support Scotland, where only 35% of Scots would support England. That level of parochialism is pretty pathetic.
