After being on active surveillance for a period of 12 months, my MRI scan showed that the cancer had increased in size. I was going to need another biopsy......I really didn't want another biopsy!!! There really needs to be a better alternative to the current procedure for assessing cancers within the prostate. A less intrusive method. One that doesn't add to the trauma of the diagnosis.
