On the Road Again!

The final day. I had a lie in until 9am and then went across to see Nigel and the team to say that I had transferred the money across for the work, and that it was all looking good and working. It was about 9.30am by the time I tidied everything away and set off for the fuel station at Grove. Bellingers Isuzu is not far from Williams F1. Yesterday when we went past on the bus diesel was £1.819. The cheapest I have seen for a long while.  When I got there it was even cheaper, at £1.799!  I know, getting excited by a fuel price 30p more than two months ago. If our dodgy government had followed other European governments then they would have cut the tax for a while. I filled up to the click as I always do. 63.10 litres! Or £113.50!!!!!!!! At least with the slow speeds to get home it should last a bit longer. With that I set the TomTom for home and we set off through Wantage and towards Newbu...

Today we have been been getting the van packed up ready to leave straight after fat club tomorrow. I checked the oil and topped that back to the top mark on the dipstick. The one in the engine not me..... I got the VonHaus pump out to check the front tyres first. We were told to run them at 75psi and so I set the gauge to 76psi to allow for some leakage when I undo the Schrader valve.... PSST! Front left showed 69psi and when the pressure approached 76psi the pipe blew off the pump leaving the valve at the wheel end open. By the time I could get the pipe off we were down to 46psi! The air would have turned blue but a neighbour was coming over for a chat. I got that one back to 70psi before the battery ran out! Three hours later I finished the job after recharging the battery on the pump. Both front wheels should be right now. The wall plus shows green when the battery is full. So no need to call into the local garage to use their air line tomorrow. We will need diesel though as we hav...
