Ginsters Vegan Pasty
I am not against vegan things. Let's get that straight. But as a pasty it simply doesn't work. Maybe if you have never had the real thing, Cornish pasty, then this version is okay. For one thing using Quorn as a substitute is not a problem. This vegan version has a good firm "meaty" and vegetable centre. Less peppery than the standard Cornish one is a plus. The lack of pepper isn't bad, but this is simply bland tasting. Also, for me it's the cardboard pastry. Maybe taking out the non-vegan ingredients is responsible. So. As they are priced about the same as a standard Cornish and even the cheese and onion versions would I buy another? No.
