Merry Christmas Everyone!

Image
Merry Christmas to everyone that has read the blogs over the course of the year. It's been another tough one with another year of lockdowns and the pandemic ruining lives and curtailing so much of our lives. It's a vain hope that 2022 will be better but it's Christmas and time of joy around the globe. MERRY CHRISTMAS

Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day

I am not going to ask for money but just publicise this annual fund raising event. I have a subtle patterned jumper and Claire has one. Reggie might still have his somewhere. https://www.savethechildren.org.uk/christmas-jumper-day

The Far Side - Christmas is Coming!

With Thanksgiving in the US and Christmas on the horizon I thought I'd share this Far Side cartoon.

Christmas Decorations

In the loft this morning to get down the eight or nine boxes of Christmas decorations. To me it is far too early but there you go. SWMBO had said it is time. The tree arrives on Friday. In these Covid days simply going a choosing a 🎄 from a lot is so 2019. It's from the same supplier as previously so I expect it will be good. Bah humbug! As someone once said. This Christmas with all the travel restrictions will be different in 2020 for many people.  Not really for us though. For many years it's been Claire, me and the animals. Upto 2014 🐈 and since then Reggie the 🐕. This year I expect it will be the same as all the other years. And that's how we like it.

Christmas comes early at Tesco

Image
Whilst doing the "big shop" at Tesco in Cheriton I came across a display for tins (actually plastic nowadays) of biscuits, then a complete aisle full of Christmas treats. It's September 7th for God's sake. The kids only just went back to school!!! Commercialism is horrendous. Anything to make a quick buck.
