So rather than do that they have put the job through as a cash job. It's still £60! They asked me to pay online and I did so. It's a PITA but the small chip could become something more dangerous if left.
The mobile unit is due any time after 1230 today. It's over an hour since the "window" started. At least the rain seems to have stopped for now!
I will be shopping around when it comes to insurance renewal next year. Wanting the same amount for a tiny 5mm chip as for the entire windscreen is ridiculous.
