Everything was booked.

  • The ferry crossing with P&O.
  • The route in my TomTom
  • The lunch stop
  • The points of interest en route

And then.. P&O sack 800 seafarers that effectively means that they have no crews to sail any of their ships out of UK ports to Europe and Ireland.

They are trying to run the ships with agency staff and are failing. The UK martitime safety organisation has impounded several of their fleet at different ports as they are unsafe with the replacement crews.

I had an email yesterday cancelling my crossing on April 9th and offering a refund.

So it's Vimy no go 2022.

I can't get a crossing with any of the alternative ferry or tunnel companies.

Bugger.
