I had the eye-test at Specsavers in Ashford. As expected distance vision is really good and I do need reading glasses.
I went through the entire process and chose some £19 frames with lenses.
Earlier as we killed a bit of time, we went in B&M and I tried on a few pairs of their £1.99 readers. The 1.25 strength seemed to work okay and I could read the smallest print on the test chart. Job done.
Whilst I wait for the Specsavers pair to be made and arrive in store the B&M's will do. They will be a good backup pair and maybe ones I take when on the bike - for reading when I get somewhere....
I will try them out this afternoon watching Latics on iFollow.
