Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening UK

If you are in the UK and are 65 and over and you haven't heard from your GP about this screening, then give them a call and see what is happening.

The screening takes about five minutes with an ultrasound machine to see whether the Aorta is normally sized or enlarged.

It is also free on the NHS.

I went this morning for mine. Painless and you get the results straight away.  I was "normal" and therefore not at risk.

Do it. You may find it could save your life.
