Kent Greyhound Rescue

Every week, except for holidays and Christmas, for four years, since I retired from work, I have volunteered at Kent Greyhound Rescue.

All I do is feed the dogs, exercise them in a huge paddock behind the foster home I go to.

Occasionally, I take one or more to the vets and one occasion we drove to meet the truck from Ireland with new arrivals.

The foster has a barn as it's an old farm that had land sold off many years ago for houses.

The charity runs a shop from here as well.

None of us get paid for our time.  There are no paid staff. The charity relies on donations and dog owners buying things from the shop.
