Burns Night

Although not a Scot, or at least not part Scots for around 150 years, I still love a bit of haggis.

Usually reserved for Burns Night around the 25th January.

But other times in the year at home, and if course in Scotland.

We've been up that way since 2015. We went up in the Insignia and stayed in a wooden lodge thing near Drumnadrochit by Loch Ness.

Before that my brother and I took my Mum's ashes to Loch an Eilean near Aviemore. She was a Shaw and we think, not certain, her family came to England from that way a long long time ago.

One evening we had haggis for dinner and again with the "full Scottish breakfast".

This year we will have a Simon Howie haggis again.
