I bought a Blink camera on eBay. it was very cheap and it arrived last week. I didn't do enough reading up as it needs a sync module to connect to the internet.

So. Once I realised by mistake I was on eBay again looking for the sync module. For £18 I ordered one and three days later, today, it arrived.

Connecting...

It's really easy to connect to the WiFi. Both the sync and camera have QR that the Blink app uses to connect. 

Of course, you need the WiFi password to connect. I have it connected to the home WiFi to test it works. 

When we are away in the van, and that's why I bought it, I will have to connect to a phone WiFi. 

My thinking on that is to have my old Motorola G50 charged and fitted with a cheap SIM car

It worked well enough and I have a few short videos of my living room ceiling...

Test

I am thinking of testing it in the garden to see what visitors we are getting in the evening and overnight.  We have a small enclosed garden mostly decked with some raised beds. 

We do get some night visitors from the genus rattus norvegicus. Maybe the Blink will pick them up.
