Chatsworth to Sibton

Reggie managed to sleep longer overnight than any night so far. Only 5.20am when he wanted his first pee break.

We got up early, jobs done, and we left at 10.20am after dropping off the waste water and the toilet cassette.

The ETA on TomTom was 2.10pm. With TomTom connected to the phone by Bluetooth Tethering it's supposed to vary the route according to traffic congestion.

Once back onto Baslow Road again, this time going away from Chatsworth (!) we were directed off the main road onto another up hill and down dale rollercoster towards Chesterfield and the M1.

As we got nearer, we could see on the TomTom and on Google Maps that there was a long red line on the original road. If we had ignored the route change we may have got stuck. We have done this before... and regretted it later.

Once on the M1 we were able to make good progress.  We planned to stop at Cambridge Services and get a coffee.

There are massive changes here. I have been many times as it's the former starting place for a charity bike run we did to the US Airforce Memorial at nearby Madingley.  Sadly the run died with Covid.

It's managed by eXtra. It has marked caravan parking. When we arrived there was one caravan,  and loads of vans. There was space for us.

I took a picture after we came back. Most of the vans had gone. As we ate our McDonald's filet of fish, it filled up again.

Another good point is that the services are dog friendly.  Or at least there were no signs on the door to say no dogs.

The ETA went out to nearer 3pm.  Somehow that seemed to get further away as TomTom took us along the scenic A1120.

Just short of Framlingham there was a "peep" and the Adblue warning light came on the dash.

Claire searched for a fuel station and there was one in Framlingham.  In fact, there are two.  The one we found first also has LPG.

I filled the diesel as we were down to half a tank and picked up a five litre container of AdBlue. It wasn't cheap at £14. But it did the job. I blogged elsewhere about AdBlue.

We finally arrived at the CL (certificated location) at the Sibton White Horse Inn. There were no other vans on the five pitches.  We chose one with the back doors towards the pub. Luckily when we set up it was the last vestiges of daylight.

We had a coffee etc and thought about dinner. In the end we decided to eat in the pub. Haddock and chips. Really nice.

Claire had an Old Mout fruit cider, berries and cherries. I tried the local brewery in Bury St Edmunds Greene-King "Rocking Rudolph". A very nice reddish tinged bitter.

Thoroughly pogged, we went back to Molly. Reggie was inside in the warm. I left the heating on low power and a light on for him.

Then it was a coffee and watch some YouTubes. There's no WiFi here but the 4G is good enough for the Amazon 4K Firestick.

Then it's another night 🌙 in the van.
