Campers & Coffee - Hastings Christmas Meet-Up
We went along to Hastings. We had a ticket to park on the Stade. And we were packed in pretty well.
Ticket sales raised £1200 and there was a collection taking place on the day as well.
Handing over the cheque to the RNLI....
We had several walks around the Stade and took photos on both the little Sony and the Canon 1100D.

This van was rebuilt and then made to look like this!!!
From there along the seafront into the Old Town. We had lunch at the Albion pub. They have a pasties shop out front.
Not what the dirty minds think!!!
Once the pasties were history, and the Morris Dancers has adjourned into the pub, we went back to the van to rest our feet and give Reggie his dinner.
Another walk, this time in the other direction. We had already seen the miniature railway at the town end. Now we could see the east end of the line!
The railway runs past the fishermen's net stores. These are painted black and looks like they are tarred. Claire bought a dressed crab from one of the shops. Here, the fish and seafood comes from the fishermen nearby or their own boats.
Dressed crab.... Yum.
The East Cliff Lift
The hours has passed by and at just before 3pm we made our way home. Many of the vans had started to leave already.
We didn't do the cruise to St Leonards, instead turning right out of The Stade and heading up the A259.
I saw on the Petrolprices app that there was a fuel station on the way out. What success. Diesel £1.359 a litre. Locally £1.479!!!! Of course, we filled up.
