Yamaha My Ride vs Detecht?

With the My Ride app on the phone playing up since the 14th February, I have thought about trying something different.

It had worked perfectly well until the ride out I had on the 14th February. I had a ride towards Canterbury and then alo go some shitty back road that brought me out at Wincheap, then A28 to Ashford and A20 home.

I posted on the V-Strom Club UK site and asked for alternatives. Amongst the suggestions was Detecht.

It was easy to set up and add both bikes but I can't see how to differentiate between the two when out on a road trip.

When installing it asked me to set the battery optimisation to "off" to allow the app to run in background.

I then checked the same for My Ride, it was set on. It's not something I had altered manually. I changed it back to "off". I won't be able to test it until next week sometime!

Maybe as late as the 6th when we have a Kent V-Strom breakfast meet at Jo's Café in Brooklands. 

I'll see if My Ride works on that run.
