Ride to the Wall 2021

In 2020 due to Covid-19, the RTTW was cancelled and all the entry fees were retained by the organisers and donated to the armed forces causes on Armed Forces Day in June 2021. They do this every year.

So in April bookings started for this year's event. This year it will be on October 2nd 2021. Neill and I will try to go again.

When bookings opened, because there were still restrictions on gatherings in place, entries were limited to 4000.

I was lucky and actually booked way after midnight, a few hours after it opened. We were lucky and were included in the 4000.

Once again I have booked us into the cheap and hopefully cheerful Ramada Hotel at the M1 services near Milton Keynes.  It is £29 for the room. I don't expect much! It does have a restaurant and bar, and on top of that there will be food outlets in the main services buildings! It's with booking.com on the usual free cancellation and no prepayment policy.

We are part of the ride-in that leaves the next services up, Northampton, on Saturday morning for the ride to the National Memorial Arboretum.

Maybe by then they might have relaxed the 4000 rule and there will be more on each of the ride-ins.

I will go on Vera and Neill will be on Ginny, his BMW 1600.

The wristbands and stickers for the headlights have arrived. Mine will go on the screen!! Photos to follow.
