Hopfuzz Brewery
During the pandemic people are supposed to support local businesses if they can. we have been going to the local microbrewery for quite a few years mostly in the summer.
It's a nice walk from where we live along the Royal Military Canal to West Hythe. "Unit One" is situated on the south side of the bridge over the canal in West Hythe.. There is indoor seating as well as a spacious outdoor area. From April 12th the lock down should ease and allow people to visit and eat and drink outside. The Hopfuzz Brewery is behind it.
Currently they can only sell for takeaway and no alcohol! Why that is must be a nightmare but no one sees any sense in it. Open or closed. Simples.
In the end I was running out of beer, my Czech collection bought at Christmas has long gone and so I thought I'd support the locals and bought a dozen bottles of their lager.
I have had it before. It's 4.6% ABV and has to be drunk nice and cold. It is a fallacy that in England we drink "warm beer", but one that many of our former colonies like to spout all the time. Even Bitters and IPA's are drunk chilled.
I have one in the fridge for later on. I doubt the eleven remaining in the pack will last too long.
