Dogs Trust - Smuggled across Europe

Dear Mr & Mrs Devall,

I've recently sent you a letter in the post which highlights the dark journey poor Lola experienced when she was smuggled across Europe and into the country in a van. If you haven't already received it, I hope it will arrive soon.

Wedged behind a secret panel, Lola was smuggled in complete darkness with little food or water and no toilet breaks. Worse still, she was in the final stages of pregnancy – an illegal time to transport any dog. Sadly, her story is all too common and we're taking a stand against this cruel trade.
Lola was in a terrible way. But thankfully, she was seized at the British border and that meant Dogs Trust could step in.

To address the problem of illegally imported dogs, we've started a lifesaving scheme to rescue dogs from our borders and care for them until we find them new homes. We've already helped nearly 1,000 dogs like Lola and it's our mission to make sure more of these harrowing journeys end with love, kindness and care. Donate now.

Like all dogs rescued from the clutches of cruel traders, Lola needed our medicine, patience and care even before her puppies were born – and that's why I've written to you to ask for your help.

Please donate today and help even the worst journeys lead somewhere brighter.
Donating online will save both time and costs, enabling more of your donation to go towards the dogs in our care. To do so visit:

We really are so grateful for every gift we receive, and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your kind continued support of our work.

Kindest regards,
Paula Boyden
