New Gloves too.

Another Aldi bargain. Actually went ion to get some food stuff and maybe a beer and saw that there was very little bike gear left.

One jacket, one pair of gloves and a few hi-viz jackets. The gloves turned out to be XL and a good fit.  At £19.99 they seem perfect for the summer.  They are leather with carbon fibre armour added and the grey bit is a mesh on the back of the hands, Definitely summer gloves.

Hi — great post! I really enjoyed how you described your “Aldi bargain” find and gave a clear breakdown of the gloves — leather with carbon-fibre armour and mesh backing sounds like a solid summer pick. I can totally relate to stumbling on gear by chance and coming away impressed.

(Originally written and published on the old Geocities hosted SOC website in 1997)   With the UK Government thinking of ways to force commuters onto public transport on the one hand, soaking the motorist with the other hand - road tolls, commuting into City tolls, increased in Vehicle Excise Duty on top of another hike in petrol tax, the motorcycle couldn't be better placed to provide personal transport when you want it, in a more 'environmentally friendly' way.
