Day 3 - Part One

Up really early (for a holiday) about 7.30am and out for a walk to the wifi spot. The resort has free wifi but neither of the iPhones or Claire's Nexus can connect.

After a healthy breakfast, we had a walk to the office. No bag came last night for me and none today.

Called the number at 9.18 and left a message. No one has been arsed to call back. Called again after lunch. Same machine.

We decided to have a run to Sanibel and Captiva Islands. TomTom once again hand held decided that I75 was preferable to US41.

In the end it was just over an hour to handing over the $6 toll for the bridges, Causeway, and onto the island.

I remember nothing of it from my last visited but that was in 1991!!

We had a coffee at Bailey's after a drive around the west of the island. Then Captiva.  The 25mph speed limits are a pain with the 20mph school zones at stall speed.

We had lunch at the Mucky Duck right near the top of the island. Very nice sandwich. Very packed in though.

Very popular as the car park is small and there's cars queuing.

Another long chat with the airport answer machine. Not there again. Then back south.

Stopping at one of the parks between the Causeway spans.

And now a stop at Tanger Outlet. Coffee and secondary smoking. Every smoker seems to sit next to us.

No wonder so many people choose air conditioned chill to smoked out hot blasting air!!!

All I bought was a pair of laces at the Nike outlet marked $3 and sold for $2.11 inc tax.

Bargain.

From their we headed back to the resort. A few missed turns and finally onto US41 North. Mistake. Heavy traffic so we turned off to I75, more traffic but moving.

As we'd heard nothing from the airport, we stopped in Walmart and bought a micro usb cable for the cameras and Nexus. Guy not helpful.

Claire found a double headed micro and mini usb in a display not two yards. This guy had gone but the girl did us a refund and we had what we wanted and $5 back.

We bought some canned dollop to eat in occasionally this week. Can't eat out all the time.

And then...

In the apartment... MY SUITCASE!!!

Delivered into the lounge.

Happy days!!!

Need a beer or two or three...

Bit tasteless but a limited edition?
