Reading the Rough Guide to The Czech Republic I came across one of the side boxes that gives some information on the nuclear power station. For a 2009 edition is rather wishy washy liberal about a nuke station.

Back in 1993 I was on the main road that passed near the site and spent an unhappy afternoon caught in the traffic jams.
Held up by (mainly Austrian muppets and rentamob) in fallout suits (actually white coveralls) and gas masks!
When I got to the front, the coppers let me ride through. Pollution? The GT smoked for all it was worth!
