Revisita España 2014 - Packing

Claire is a little. concerned about the amount of stuff we can carry on Döra with her asymmetrical panniers. Or as we call them, the big pannier and the little pannier!!!

She is used to the huge Touratech Zega panniers we had on Baloo the BMW GS. Although they were of the asymmetrical design too. She had the big one.

I think we are going to need an overnight bag, with wash bag, for the boat to Spain.

The plan includes wearing lighter bike jeans and lightweight jackets backed up with light waterproofs. We have those already. My new Triumph jacket performed admirably well in France last month.

As the small pannier is not much use I have earmarked it for the packed down waterproofs and maybe the paperwork folder. It is secure and waterproof!

I don't expect to encounter much rain in Spain, but we have 200 miles of southern England to navigate to Poole to get the boat! And of course back again on the way home. It can rain quite easily!!!

So that will leave big pannier and bigger top box. One Touratech bag in there with both of our stuff, undies and t-shirts. Trainers and overnight stuff in a bag in the new 52 litre Kappa box. I need to keep the chain and lock in the box as well as the cable lock we secure the helmets with. Should be plenty of room!!!

We will have to source the bags and then do a trial packing and see how it goes.
