Olympics Closing Ceremony

WOW!

Although not a spectacular as the Opening Ceremony just over 16 days ago, the Closing was up there with the best.

Music and the theatrical elements worked perfectly.  Personally, I'd have preferred to see more of some acts and maybe less of Jessie J. Okay, she can sing., but she appeared far too often.

Although there was no chronological order to the appearances and the despite it supposedly covering the time since we hosted in 1948, it seems to have forgotten the pre-Beatles era.

Great to see some of the oldies out; Ray Davies and The Who.

Such a shame that the Davies and Gallagher brothers couldn't have solved their sibling rivalries and played together on the Kinks and Oasis songs.

The Brazilians are going to have to pull something out of the bag, as their Samba finale was as flat as a pancake.  Okay, the celebrity samba dancing road sweeper was there but the rest of it was more funereal than carnival.

Sounds interesting. I like hearing all the different opinions on the ceremonies.

I like the early Beatles too, and anything British Invasion, and the Kinks, Peter & Gordon, Chad & Jeremy, Freddie & the Dreamers, too bad they weren't in the ceremonies.
